As the holidays draw to a close, it’s time to usher in 2025. January, a month known for fresh starts, is the perfect opportunity to refresh your bar cart and beer fridge with some exciting new additions.
Our January picks include an IPA with notes of bright pine, a crisp NA IPA, a red blend wine from Portugal, and a classic London Dry gin.
January Beer, Wine, and Liquor of the Month
Our January Beer of the Month is Peak Organic’s Evergreen IPA. This 7.1% beer is built on the flavor profile of Peak’s flagship IPA, but enhances the hoppy pine notes by blending in organic juniper berries and organic spruce. The result is a unique IPA with bright pine and resin hop character and a distinctly crisp finish. The Evergreen IPA pairs well with Thai food, green curry, pho, or a juicy burger. 6-packs of 12 oz cans are available for $12.99.
We’re also featuring a non-alcoholic beer of the month, Woodland Farms’ Day Walker. Crisp and refreshing, this NA IPA features multiple dry hop additions, including Azacca, Cascade, and German Perle hops. 4-pack 16 oz cans are $11.99
Sao Miguel del Sul Red Blend is January’s Wine of the Month. This Portuguese wine is ruby in color, with hints of violet. It boasts intense aromas of red and black forest fruits, blended harmoniously with floral and toasted notes. The palate is very juicy and fruity, with nice acidity and smooth tannins. Bottles are available for $10.99.
Our January Liquor of the Month is Fords London Dry Gin. Created with respect to the traditions that have historically defined gin making, this classic London Dry features nine botanicals sourced from around the world and is steeped and distilled at London’s Thames Distillery. Pick up a bottle for only $27.99.
Mocktail of the Month
This month’s cocktail recipe is actually a mocktail, the Noughty Berry Breeze, featuring non-alcoholic Noughty Sparkling Wine. It’s fruity, refreshing, and beautifully bubbly — perfect for a Dry January indulgence or any special occasion!
Noughty Berry Breeze
Ingredients:
- 4-5 fresh strawberries (or raspberries)
- ½ oz freshly squeezed lime juice
- ½ oz honey syrup (1 part honey, 1 part water, dissolved)
- 4-5 oz Noughty Sparkling Wine (chilled)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
Muddle the fresh berries in a shaker or mixing glass until they’re well crushed. Add the freshly squeezed lime juice and honey syrup to the muddled berries and stir to combine. Double strain the mixture into a wine glass filled with ice to remove the pulp and seeds. Top with chilled Noughty Sparkling Wine and give it a gentle stir. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a berry on the rim of the glass for a festive finish.
