Beer, Wine, and Liquor of the Month: Our February Picks

Raise your glass this February to our featured selections, and a cocktail recipe that will help warm up your cold winter nights.

Our February picks include a Coffee Stout infused with coffee from a local roaster, a robust and smooth Cabernet Sauvignon from California, and a Crème Brûlée liquor that tastes like dessert in a bottle.

February Beer, Wine, and Liquor of the Month

Woodland Farms’ Coffee Stout is our February Beer of the Month. It’s a 5.7% ABV Dry Oatmeal Stout brewed with chocolate malt and roasted malt, Blue Ox Pale Ale, Fuggle Hops, and infused with French Roast coffee from Swift River Coffee Roasters. 4-packs of 16 oz cans are available for $12.99.

Our February Wine of the Month is Sand Point, a Cabernet Sauvignon from LangeTwins Family Winery in California. This 2021 vintage is robust, balanced, and extremely smooth on the finish. It contains notes of black raspberry, dark chocolate, and peppercorn, which are elevated

by savory tannins and a balanced acidity. Bottles are available for $10.99.

Licor 43 Crème Brûlée is our February Liquor of the Month. This delicious fusion of Licor 43 Original and Crème Brûlée has an aroma and flavor that evokes memories of traditional desserts. Upon sipping it, the silky and creamy texture gives way to the complex aromas, revealing the botanical aromas and citrus fruit notes that are mixed with the vanilla and toasted sugar, and a surprising final dash of salted caramel. We recommend enjoying it chilled or with a generous amount of ice (but without diluting it), in order to fully appreciate its aromas and flavors. Bottles are on sale in February for only $23.99 — $3 off the regular price.

Cocktail of the Month

This month’s cocktail recipe features our liquor of the month, Licor 43 Crème Brûlée.

Golden Brûlée Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Licor 43 Crème Brûlée
  • 4 oz Freshly Brewed Coffee (hot or iced)
  • 1 oz Irish Cream Liqueur (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 oz Heavy Cream (lightly whipped)
  • 1 tsp Brown Sugar or Caramel Syrup
  • Ground Cinnamon or Nutmeg (for garnish)
  • Crushed Ice (if making iced coffee)

Instructions:

First, prepare the base by brewing fresh coffee and setting it aside. If you prefer an iced version, allow the coffee to cool completely. Next, combine Licor 43 Crème Brûlée, the coffee, and an Irish cream liqueur (optional) in a mug or glass (depending on if you’re making it hot or iced).

Gently spoon lightly whipped heavy cream on top to create a layered effect and sprinkle with ground cinnamon or nutmeg for a flavorful and aromatic finish. This cocktail is perfect as a decadent after-dinner drink or as a luxurious twist to your morning coffee!
